IMPOSSIBLE TO GRASP
This next documentation I will be sharing with you will be a difficult one. While visiting Gedenkstätte und Museum Sachsenhausen I had a hard time keeping myself composed … Seeing images taken during the war as well as seeing Gedenkstätte in person helped me understand the true horror that the prisoners themselves went through. I believe that revisiting history with your own eyes is an important step in understanding our past, but also our future. Though image I will bring to light what often is hidden in the dark.

/Just visiting a place will maybe help you understand history a bit better, but you will NEVER be brought to the true horror of what happened in these places or other places just as horrible just by going there. My parents still can’t talk about what they went through, my dad had nightmares his whole life, my uncle told me things I don’t even want to repeat. /Yeah, it was very difficult. As a traveler, explorer and photographer it is the first time in my career Ive ever really questioned even documenting a subject. But the fact is… the importance of educating and showing the world what happened is so important. Hands down the most difficult content I have ever documented…. My heart goes out to the millions of families that were effected.
